Lompoc?

this past week we had transfers! and they did it different this time (highkey hated it but whatever) normally we recieve our transfer news and then the next day we have to transfer. well this time we found out our news and had to transfer the same day. AND our news didnt say where we were going or who our companion was, all it said was to either pack or not. so we woke up and had to speed pack to drive down to the mission office and recieve our news.

LOMPOC!!!!! yeah baby im out in the middle of nowhere in Lompoc, California. Lompoc has a reputation for being a tiny (really) bit dangerous so there havent been sisters here in like years. like years.

alsp SHOUT OUT HNA POWELL!!! shes a baddie and is training right out of training! shes killing it. I miss hna powell and santa maria so bad!

cool things about the area:
- we also cover Solvang!!! go look up solvang rn its so freaking cool! its like a little dutch town in the middle of nowhere like 30 minutes from where we live.
- we live like 15 minutes from the military base! so the Space and Air force launch rockets every 5 days at night and its so rad
- when we told a lady it was our first day in lompoc and we were liking it she said "thats good, i hope it stays that way for you. theres been a lot of gang violence recently."
- another friend told me "im not even gonna tell you the stories ive heard about lompoc. stay safe"
- we have a dutch bros!!
- we've found some super cool people so far! pray for us to double the size of our group!
- theres an abandoned lds church building here and the other day we went to go grab something at like 9:00 and i almost stepped on a homeless man sleeping there, camped out in front of the door! when we finally got inside the spirit left faaaast and we felt super sketch! so we left very fast.
 - a man on the phone asked if I was american and when I said yes he asked where I learned spanish cause I sounded like a native

"If you have determined to live righteously, don’t become discouraged. Life may seem difficult now, but hold on tightly to that iron rod of truth. You are making better progress than you realize. Your struggles are defining character, discipline, and confidence in the promises of your Father in Heaven and the Savior as you consistently obey Their commandments" -

also everyone go listen to the byu devotional it's SO GOOD!

"it's not your job to feed the five thousand, just to provide the fish and loaves"

also im so sorry I have so many people I need to email and respond to and im just the worst and have had no time! I'm soooo sorry! I love you all!
