Mtc Week 2

Hellooooooo yall! 

Feels like just yesterday I was emailing you guys but also it feels like its been so long since last pday! 

Updates:

This week has probably been the best week of my life ever! My district has become like family! 14 new brothers is a wild ride but it's so fun and Hermana anderson and I always have a case of the giggles every night! I don't think I've ever laughed harder and felt the spirit stronger in the same moment.  They seriously are the biggest blessings in my life and have strengthened me so much and taught me and I'll forever be grateful for the chance to be with them. Some missionaries who have been here a  longer say "don't worry the light will fade" which is slightly scary but hey I'm gonna ride this high for as long as I can cause it's awesome! I've made so many friends here and all the missionaries here are so kind and have such bright lights!!! 

Also I still really really dislike Samsung. That part hasn't changed

Said goodbye to a lot of awesome friends i've made and said bye to Elder cromar which was so sad but he's gonna kill it out there!

Honestly the food hasn't been as bad as everyone hyped it up to be but I'm sure I'll be sick of it by the end. But also when it's something we don't want hermana anderson and I just eat reeces puffs so está bien.

It's all been so great but every once in a while a few mood swings hit and I miss home or I get down but the Lord always helps me push through and reminds me of His goodness and the good majorly outweighs the bad! 

Spiritual Thoughts! 

 We had an incredible devotional on Tuesday and got to hear from Elder Peter M. Johnson and his wife Stephanie and they gave such spiritual insights! Sister Johnson told a story about a time she asked a missionary she knew how she was doing and the missionary in her response said "I do not have confidence in me yet, but u do have confidence in the Lord." OH man that hit me in the soul! I had been feeling a little anxious about trying to be a good enough missionary that I forgot that all I can do is work my hardest and the Lord will make up the rest! And when I don't have the confidence for myself I can have confidence in Him until I can gain my own! And it'll come! It just takes time! 

This week we've talked about how to handle questions and I read the talk "Will You Engage in the Wrestle?" By Sheri Dew May (which is SO GOOD yall should read the whole thing) but I loved this part that said 

"My dear friends, questions are good. Questions are good if they are inspired questions, asked in faith, and asked of credible sources where the Spirit will direct and confirm the answer. Nephi asked an inspired question in faith when He asked the Lord...He returned to his father's tent to find Laman and Lemuel arguing about the meaning of their fathers vision. When Nephi asked them, "Have ye inquired of the Lord?" They gave the classic response of doubters: "We have not; for the Lord maketh no such thing known unto us"- as though nothing was required of them. None of us are entitled to revaluation without effort on our part. Answers from God don't just magically appear. If we want to grow spiritually, the Lord expects us to ask questions and seek answers." AMEN SISTER DEW! Amigos, grab your scriptures and the questions you have and see what the Lord can teach you! 

OK last thoughts but our teachers have been so incredible and taught us so much! We love hermano wride and hermana neves so so much! I feel like they blow my mind every single class! Some fuego Hermano Wride quotes that I need to share have been 

"Trials and hard times will come and go but this gospel and the journey we get to feel is forever"

"You are representing the most perfect person who ever lived. What. An. Honor."

"You're going to laugh about it later so might as well laugh about it now" 

And one of my personal favorite "you're gonna go out there and get WRECKED and it's gonna be SO GREAT, you're gonna love it"

Anyways I love you all so so much! My heart feels like it could burst from all the joy the Lord's brought to my life recently! God is good even when life is not. I love you, He loves you. Always! Have a great week!
