The Devil Works Hard But We Work Harder

The past few days hermana bagley and i have spent every night basically scrubbing our apartment from top to bottom, cause Elder Hill ALWAYS wins the cleanest apartment award no matter how hard we try! (I think its rigged but) im determined to win this transfer. Ill keep yall updated on if we win, but i honesty dont know how much faith i can have in us, Elder Hill is cracked and cleans like a woman

Daylight savings was a blessing for one reason only, that extra hour to sleep. But that means it gets darker sooner and we cant ride our bikes once its dark. It used to get dark at like 6:30, now it gets dark at like 5. And 4-9 is prime find time! 

Also for those of you who dont know, my mom got me a chia pet for my birthday and he was our apartment child we took such good care of him. Well (we honestly dont know how cause it wasnt windy at all) but he took a 2 story dive off our balcony. Rest in Pieces Ferguson Coach Winnie the bish Nicholas Schmidt. You will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Spanish is.... still not great. Which is really frustrating but this one member, a little older lady, came up to me after church and said "you may not be able to speak with us very well, but we all feel your love so strong. You can see how fiercely you love these people and it shines brighter than words. Everyone feels it just being around you." And then she gave me the strongest hug and i actually cried. Like it was exactly what I needed to hear it just reminded me I can do this. It's not easy but it's worth it. I cant remember if ive shared this already but there's a line in the show The Chosen and they're talking about giving up everything to follow Jesus and he says "Its true, there is a lot you would give up, but what you would gain is far greater and more lasting". 

The chapter heading of Deuteronomy 27 says "They are the Lord’s people but will be cursed if they do not obey Him." 

And in the next chapter Deuteronomy 28:1 it says "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth".

My MTC teacher showed us a song from the movie The Prince of Egypt called Through Heavens Eyes. One of the lyrics says "the answer will come to him who tries, to look at his life through Heavens eyes. No life can escape being blown about by the winds of change and chance, and though you never know all the steps you must learn to join the dance." 

You're never gonna know all the steps. But you just gotta dance.
