Pues, Pues, Pues, Que Tenemos Aquí
ok im so sorry ive been all over the place with emails. my email is being so wack and like 2 weeks ago my email sent to half of you but not the other half so lucky you.
also my sugar thing lasted about a week and then hermana villalobos made tres leches cake and the no sugar thing went right out the window real fast
Past few weeks have been so crazy in all the best ways!
○ Said goodbye to hermana waite cause she finished her mission
○went to paso robles for a day and got to stay with hermana andrews which was so fun!
○Had transfers and im still in SLO but hermana waite finished her mission so now im with hermana barker!!!! Whos probably my new favorite human on the planet! We've been together for like 3 days and i already think shes my soulmate. She is such a hard worker and is exactly what me and slo needs and im so so excited to get to be with her this next transfer! We've already found so many really awesome people and have had so many dance parties and have almost peed laughing so many times!
○We've been working so hard the past few days and talking to everyone and inviting everyone to church. Even chased down a latino man we saw walk past our window and started teaching him! No one is safe from the missionaries
○We did have to split our area into 2 because theres a set of elders covering Morrobay now! I was sad to lose a lot of really awesome people from that area but itll be so good for them to have the elders! And now we can focus all our efforts in slo! So twas just a little bittersweet
○Also something super cool is one of my friends from Simi Valley got baptized!! He was being taught for foreeeeeever and finally took the leap of faith and was baptized and I was so so happy for him! The hermanas teaching him did a video call with all the hermanas that have ever taught him so we could watch and it was such a sweet moment! (And I got to see my trainer for a second!) Felicidades Lupillo!
I was reading the talk "Because of Your Faith by Elder Holland literally right before writing this email and it kinda made me emotional I don't even really know why, but he says
"In whatever country you live, however young or inadequate you feel, or however aged or limited you see yourself as being, I testify you are individually loved of God, you are central to the meaning of His work, and you are cherished and prayed for by the presiding officers of His Church. The personal value, the sacred splendor of every one of you, is the very reason there is a plan for salvation and exaltation.
I have struggled to find an adequate way to tell you how loved of God you are and how grateful we on this stand are for you. I am trying to be voice for the very angels of heaven in thanking you for every good thing you have ever done, for every kind word you have ever said, for every sacrifice you have ever made in extending to someone—to anyone—the beauty and blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ."
He then talks about the different callings and people in the church and the sacrifices they make to lift up and support one another. And it just made me think of all the wonderful people I have in my life who have made me the person I am today. I'm so incredibly grateful for everyone who's been apart of my life.
To everyone on these emails, Thank you for all you do and have done for me! For the love and support and words of encouragement and prayers and everything! For reading these emails and looking at these pictures. For asking my family how I'm doing. It means so much and I can feel your love all the way in California! I love and appreciate all of you more than youll ever know!
