1:30AM Wake Up Call

howdy yall! How goes it? Lots of cool things this week!

- our friend Ricardita got baptized! It was such a good day and she was beaming the whole time! We had to tell her to be there at 5 even tho it started at 6 cause she is aaaaalways late. Literally 100% of the time. And thankfully she was only 30 minutes late instead of her normal 60! She was so nervous before she got in the water that she'd mess it up so we said a quick prayer with her literally while everyone was waiting that she would do it right it was so tender. Everything went smooth though! And she was just beaming and looked so so happy! After she got changed i asked how she felt and she just sighed and said "clean". My favorite part was the huge hug she gave us after it was so filled with love

- learned how to make bread!! Its been our obsession lately and im not working out enough to justify eating so much of it but its sooo good and we made the texas road house honey butter and oh my gosh game over

- we had an all spanish missionary wide ayuno de ingles! Or english fast! I kept forgetting and talked in english a lot but

- had exchanges with hermana demordaunt again and it was so fun! But sooooo hot! In Paso Robles the heat just like clings to you. But then the next 3 days were cold and rainy so

- last night we were dead asleep when all of a sudden an alarm in the other room started going off. We were so confused and trying to grab all our emergency stuff when it just stopped. And We couldnt figure out if it was the carbon monoxide or fire alarm! We tried testing it and couldnt figure out what was going on and all you missionaries out there know about the safety zones so we were a little freaked out. We thought hey better safe then dead so we called the fire department (we live right next door to the fire department. Like literally 20 steps from our door) and they came over to check things out. We were so embarrassed cause i guess it was actually nothing. Only thing hurt was my pride.

- please keep hector and martin in your prayers this week! Hectors trying to prepare for baptism but isnt feeling quite ready. And martin has a really bad infection in his leg and hasnt been able to work!
- we have transfers this week!!! Please please pray hermana barker and i stay together for one more or ill cry

Sorry dont have time for a great spiritual thought but i read this talk called The Virtue of Kindness!

"Kindness is the essence of a celestial life. Kindness is how a Christlike person treats others. Kindness should permeate all of our words and actions at work, at school, at church, and especially in our homes.

Jesus, our Savior, was the epitome of kindness and compassion. He healed the sick. He spent much of His time ministering to the one or many. He spoke compassionately to the Samaritan woman who was looked down upon by many.

The Church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or have perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Heavenly Father.

Each one of us will travel a different road during this life. Each progresses at a different rate. Temptations that trouble your brother may not challenge you at all. Strengths that you possess may seem impossible to another.

We are all children of our Heavenly Father. And we are here with the same purpose: to learn to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

When we are filled with kindness, we are not judgmental. The Savior taught, “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.” He also taught that “with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

“But,” you ask, “what if people are rude?”
Love them.

"If they are obnoxious?”

Love them.

“But what if they offend? Surely I must do something then?”

Love them.

“Wayward?”

The answer is the same. Be kind. Love them."

Iove you all so much!! Have an awesome week!
