oh hi there How was Rome split in two? With a pair of Caesars anyways highlights: - staying in lompoc with hermana nelson for my last - ISAAC GOT BAPTIZED!!! he's literally a king. except that he and the elder baptizing him showed up like 10 minutes before it started which was a heartattack and a half. but everything went smoothly and he's just the best ever. he invited his cousin to come and after his cousin asks us "so what do i have to do to be baptized" lets gooooooo - sickness has befallen almost everyone in my district and me and my comp seemed to get the worst of it. currently typing this in a cough medicine induced haze. we've been absolutely wiped out but es lo si que es - the spaceforce rocket launches are super rad but im sort of getting sick of the 5am wakeup call..... - had christmas zone conference! which is half the mission so it was so epic. every district prepared a song and short testimony about different parts of the life of Christ and it was so...

heyooooo not a lot to update on but  things that happened in the past month: ‐ got invited to 4 thanksgivings - got asked to teach sunday school with like 1 hour to prep - held a teeny tiny turtle. will not disclose if i tried to kiss him (i thought the whole prince thing applied to all reptiles or amphibians) - our friend isaac is gonna be baptized on sunday and he is SO SWEET! Literally God has been preparing him for it! he said and i quote "You know what, the truth is that it makes me feel good to be there, I don't know, I can't explain it... but it's something I hadn't felt before" - our friend jose martin also accepted to be baptized and is becoming best friends with isaac and we're so excited for him! hes the cutest ever! - went to OSTRICH LAND!!! yeah you heard that right. literally this giant ranch filled with ostriches and emus! best place ive ever been - had exchanges in santa barbara with sister Williams and again a week later with sister Wimmer...

this past week we had transfers! and they did it different this time (highkey hated it but whatever) normally we recieve our transfer news and then the next day we have to transfer. well this time we found out our news and had to transfer the same day. AND our news didnt say where we were going or who our companion was, all it said was to either pack or not. so we woke up and had to speed pack to drive down to the mission office and recieve our news.  LOMPOC!!!!! yeah baby im out in the middle of nowhere in Lompoc, California. Lompoc has a reputation for being a tiny (really) bit dangerous so there havent been sisters here in like years. like years.  alsp SHOUT OUT HNA POWELL!!! shes a baddie and is training right out of training! shes killing it. past couple weeks have been absolutely awesome!  -We were biking past this park and we slowed down to watch a soccer game that some guys were playing. The ball rolled out, so the goalie went to grab the ball and kick it and at that point we had stopped completely to watch, and as soon as the goalie kicked the ball the ref blew the whistle blew and it was halftime. we groaned and were like "okay God, we're getting back to work. Sorry we got distracted."  - we did our studies at the cemetery and it was sooooo beautiful for Día de Los Muertos! theres so many orange marigolds and the cemeteries are absolutely covered in just a blanket of orange! we bought some for our apartment! we walked around and talked to the people who were there visiting their family and friends and asked them to share a memory they had of the person and it was so fun and beautiful - thank you thank you thank you for all the birthday wishes and cards! i felt so loved and hearing from yall made my day so...

yall. i dont even know where to start with this week  i gotta talk about tuesday alone cause hot dang it was a weird day.  1. we got hit by a wheelchair. yeah you read that right. it hit us. we head out on our bikes to have an early morning lesson 30 minutes away cause this friend can only meet on tuesdays. as we're biking we come across this older lady on the sidewalk pulling a wheelchair alongside her. we were gonna go up on the grass around her but didnt want to startle her so we say "excuse us" as we go around and she half turns and then shouts "NO no no no no no" and goes to grab my bike and pull me off of it! i get around her and hermana powell goes the other way so the lady turns and slams her wheelchair into hermana powell like repeatedly!!! so then i yell "Hey!" and hna powell breaks free and we speed away while she shouted not very christlike and very vulgar things at us.  2. almost got backed into by a car 3. we're 2 minutes from this gu...

BROSKIS DID YALL LISTEN TO CONFERENCE?!?!?! highlight of my week hands down! i was so stoked to hear the messages! for those who dont know General Conference happens twice a year when the leaders of the church and our amazing prophet Russell M Nelson speak to the world to give spiritual guidance and inspiration! basically its the best flipping time of the year and this past weekend did  not  disappoint! ! im so excited to go back and relisten to them! hoooooooooowdy buckle up folks its been an awwwwesome couple of weeks!  we found out transfer news tomorrow!!! which is crazy I feel like I just got here! and then ill only have like 3 transfers left! stay tuned to find out what happens  - our friend carlos accepted the invitation to be baptized!!! we're so excited to help him grow his testimony! hes such a cutie humble guy! he came to church on sunday and LOVED it! the members were so cute and invited him to sit with them in class and when we picked him up they were like "bye carlos see ya next week!" so basically yall better go be nice to the new people at church. - we went to the temple! it was so awesome i looooove the temple!! 3 hour bus ride .  got to see lots of mission friends! - i had exchanges with hermana cox! we were companions a few transfer ago so it was way fun to spend the day together. we even went into Boot Barn and DIDNT buy anything!!  - had mlc so got to take another trip to oxnard we had to run ...
